Ohio EMS & Trauma Grants for 2011-2012

The Ohio Emergency Medical Services Grant applications for Priorities 1, 2, 3, & 4 for 2011-2012 are currently available at the Ohio EMS website www.ems.ohio.gov  The Priority 1 training and equipment electronic application will be available on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.  

The deadline for applications is 5:00 P.M. Friday April 1, 2011.  Applications must be postmarked or hand delivered to the Ohio Division of EMS office by the date and time indicated to be considered for funding.  The applications must be sent to Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Medical Services, 1970 West Broad Street, P.O. Box 182073, Columbus, OH 43218-2073 or completed electronically.

Priority 2 for Injury Prevention and Priority 3 & 4 for Trauma Rehabilitation and Procedures must use the hard copy application available at www.ems.ohio.gov in the grant section of the website.

There are two ways to apply for the Priority 1 training and equipment grant:  1.) Completing the hard copy application.  2.) Using the electronic application process with the electronic signature. 

Applicants may complete the hard copy application at www.ems.ohio.gov  and mail the completed application with an original signature to the Ohio Division of EMS.

Only Priority 1 training and equipment applications may be completed electronically at the Ohio EMS website. Go to the grants section.  Select, “Already have username and password” and proceed to the electronic application.  If you do not already have a username and password, you must obtain them through the EMS website.   If you already have a password, remember to use your Ohio driver’s license as your username.  Applicants who use the electronic application process will be asked to sign the agreement and blanket certification utilizing an electronic signature process.  No mailing of hard copies of the application, proof of eligibility, or original signature will be required for the electronic application. 

Awards will be based upon the number of seatbelt fines available for this award year.  Funds will be disbursed through a reimbursement process.
